Le doyen Jean-Louis Esambo Kangashe a remporté l’élection avec une ample majorité

Le Professeur Jean-Louis Esambo Kangashe, élu Doyen de la Faculté de Droit le 11 septembre 2020, est reconduit dans ses fonctions pour un nouveau mandat de deux ans, à la suite d'un vote organisé le samedi 11 mars 2023 dans la Salle du Conseil Antoine Rubbens.

Conduit de main de maître par le Professeur Émérite Kabange Ntabala Clément, entouré des Professeurs Nsaka Kabunda Annie Marie, première secrétaire rapporteuse et Mbau Sukisa Daniel, deuxième secrétaire rapporteure, cette élection opposait les Professeurs Esambo Kangashe Jean-Louis, Doyen en fonction, Lutumba wa Lutumba Prince Octave, Chef de Département de Droit privé et judiciaire, en fonction et Omeonga Tongomo Barthélemy, Vice-doyen chargé de l’Enseignement également en fonction.

Le collège électoral, constitué de 106 membres, a organisé un vote ouvert et transparent, au cours duquel le Professeur Esambo Kangashe Jean-Louis a été élu avec 53 voix, contre 27 voix pour Lutumba wa Lutumba et 25 voix pour Omeonga Tongomo.

Un vote nul a été enregistré. Les deux candidats battus ont reconnu la régularité et la transparence du scrutin, et ont félicité le Doyen élu. Ce dernier, les a remerciés à son tour d’avoir participé à ce processus démocratique. Le Doyen a également remercié l’ensemble des électeurs pour leur confiance renouvelée pour les deux prochaines années de son second et dernier mandat à la direction de la Faculté de Droit.
